Locale Problems

This is an issue with WSL/Ubuntu not centos which sets the locale as C.UTF-8, but here is a work around for centos

export LANGUAGE=en_US.UTF-8
export LANG=en_US.UTF-8
export LC_ALL=en_US.UTF-8
localedef -i en_US -f UTF-8 en_US.UTF-8

Permanent fix

sudo locale-gen en_US.UTF-8
sudo update-locale LANG=en_US.UTF-8
